Overview
MBS (Multi Beam Synthesis) multi-beam synthesis technology (patented), through the original research on the formation of the sound beam, to solve the drawbacks of the traditional sound column system. That is, the sound beam formation of the main beam must bring useless and interference side beam, the formation of the side beam to the system caused by acoustic interference, while bringing a series of problems: such as the generation of comb effect, resulting in uneven sound field, easy to cause howling. The side beam generates the main beam efficiency is greatly reduced, resulting in premature conversion of the column surface wave into a spherical wave, radiation distance is sharply reduced. The useless sound waves radiated from the side beam produce multiple reflections in space, such as the ceiling, floor, etc., affecting the clarity of the language.
Currently, most international manufacturers adopt various technical approaches to suppress side lobes of sound beams. These include physical structural designs, customized driver configurations, or the use of electronic DSP processing, though the effectiveness of these methods varies.
MBS technology, however, is developed on solid theoretical principles. By employing a specially designed waveguide and precision driver processing, it redirects the side beams—previously regarded as redundant and undesirable—into the main beam. This not only eliminates the negative impact of side beams but also enhances the energy and effectiveness of the main beam.
