Overview
MBS (Multi-Beam Synthesis) Technology (Patented)
Traditional column speaker systems face an inherent drawback in sound beam formation: while creating the main beam, they inevitably generate side beams. These side beams introduce acoustic interference, leading to a series of issues such as comb filtering, uneven sound fields, and susceptibility to acoustic feedback (howling). Moreover, side beams significantly reduce the efficiency of the main beam, causing the column’s surface wave to prematurely convert into a spherical wave, thereby sharply limiting radiation distance. The unwanted energy radiated by side beams also produces multiple reflections from ceilings, floors, and walls, which further degrades speech clarity.
Most international manufacturers attempt to suppress side beams using various technical measures—such as physical modifications, unit-specific customizations, or DSP-based electronic suppression. However, the effectiveness of these methods varies.
MBS multi-beam synthesis technology, developed from fundamental acoustic theory, takes a different approach. By applying specially designed waveguides and precision driver processing, it synthesizes the side beams—once regarded as redundant and undesirable—back into the main beam. This not only eliminates the negative effects of side beams but also enhances the energy and efficiency of the main beam, resulting in clearer speech, more uniform sound fields, and extended projection distance.
Product features
The column adopts fully imported Italian drivers, with tweeters crafted from special materials to minimize high-frequency interference and extend radiation distance. Four 4-inch mid-bass units are arranged in a linear configuration and, together with MBS multi-beam synthesis technology, generate columnar surface-wave radiation for more uniform sound field coverage. The result is clear, natural, and highly intelligible vocal reproduction with excellent sensitivity and extended projection distance.
The system comes with a versatile mounting bracket, allowing flexible installation methods such as wall-mounting, suspension, multiple stacking, or stand-mounting. This makes it especially suitable for multifunction halls, conference rooms, houses of worship, and other similar venues.
It also supports high-impedance operation. When paired with the optional TF-60 matching audio transformer, the unit can function as a fixed-voltage loudspeaker, seamlessly integrating with constant-voltage amplifiers.
